Is your child interested in musical theatre? There is a special meeting on Friday at lunch in the music room for all grade 6 & 7 students who want to take part in Dunsmuir’s musical production of Willie Wonka Junior next year. Students do not need to be in the music program to take part and experience is helpful but not necessary. Students also interested in: stage crew, sound crew, and other roles should also come to this special info meeting. Please visit this link for a ‘sneak peak’: https://bit.ly/2wMuH5q Any questions can be sent to Mr. Duque-Park (fduquepark@sd62.bc.ca)

NEW YORK 2019
Next year’s Grade 7 & 8 students will have the opportunity to travel to New York for six days leaving tentatively on March 13, 2019. We announced the trip and handed out some information to students today; that same information is attached to this email for parents. We are offering this extra-curricular opportunity so that our students have the same opportunity that they may have at the other middle schools (this year Spencer is going on safari to Africa; Journey travels every other year to Japan and Stubbs travels to Paris and Quebec frequently). If you are interested, please see the attached information package and video for payment information. We will have a parent meeting once we see if there are enough students signed up to run the trip.
