Random Acts of Kindness meets in Room 204 at Lunch today.

Grade 8 Competitive Boys and Girls Volleyball practices are cancelled today but it is important that all attend on Thursday.

Grade 8 Boys Volleyball players have an important meeting in Ms J’s room at lunch.

There will be a grade 6 and 7 girls and boys volleyball practice tomorrow  (Wed) after school. All players need to attend or talk to Ms.Caldwell.

Handball begins next week.

TV CREW Sign-up by Friday if you are interested in joining the TV Crew as a guest anchor for a week!

  • We also have one position open for a weatherman on the B Crew. You would be doing the weather every third week with the B Crew. If you are interested, pick up an application by Friday on the bulletin board outside of the CLC (the Crompton Learning Commons).

Jersey day is coming up this Thursday, January 18th. Please wear your jersey!

Leadership meeting at literacy is cancelled today, see you on Thursday morning.

 
 

Grade 6 and 7 Girls who want to play Volleyball this year you have a meeting in Portable 11 at lunch today. Everyone who wants to play must attend.

The Dunsmuir Store is open Friday’s at Lunch! If you haven’t seen it, pop by the gym entrance to see what’s available!

Pizza Friday!! Pizza will be available in the foods room at Nutrition Break on Fridays for $3/slice.

 

 
 

Sewing Club meets today at lunch in the sewing room.

Science Club continues its exploration today at lunch in Rm 211.

Dunsmuir Academy Information night will be held at Dunsmuir School on Tuesday Jan 30th at 6:00pm in the school gym. This information session is for all new Academy applicants/families.

Royal Bay Information Night. Royal Bay will be hosting an evening for all Grade 8 parents and students to learn about their new school and its programs.

  • Tuesday January 23rd:

  • 6:30pm – Royal Bay Course Selection Information
  • 7:00pm  –  Academy Information

Grade 8 boys and girls Volleyball you have volleyball practice after school today until 4:30. Please see Mrs. Stewart or Ms. Johnson if you can not attend.

Would all grade 6 and 7 boys that are planning on playing volleyball this year please attend a short meeting in Portable 11 at lunch today. Please come right away.

Get your Yearbooks before they are gone! Books are $40 and can be purchased online. They are selling out fast so don’t miss out!

Please mark your calendars. On Tuesday, January 30th, the Academy Programs will be hosting an Academy Information session for parents and students. If you are interested in Grade 6,7, or 8 Dance Academy, or Grade 7 or 8 Soccer Academy, please attend this event. ACADEMY ON-LINE REGISTRATION
Academy On-line Registration will open on Thursday, Feb. 1st at 6:00am. More information to come! ART If your child is in Art this term please provide them with a sketchbook or $2 to purchase one from the art room.  Please also send a small, shallow plastic container with a lid to keep paint waste to a minimum.  A fine paintbrush would be great as well!

CHRISTMAS HAMPER/COIN DRIVE
A big thank you to all families who contributed to the hamper drive this year. Thousands of items were donated and through our coin drive we raised a whopping $1357.10 and online donations we received $180.00. Thank-you from Mr. Curtis and Den Falkor

Ensure you have completed the online consent form. The consent must be completed or the school cash does not have authorization to pull student information from our database.

Dunsmuir Academy Information Night

If you use the Computers in the CLC before school, at break, or during lunch, this announcement is for you. Starting today, due to the issues we had in December with the internet, there will be no more streaming on these computers (that includes Youtube, Netflix, or music streaming). The bandwidth being used is too much for our system.

 
 

Music Students are asked to take their instruments home over the break. Get them cleaned and maintained in time for the new year. Don’t let your instrument be alone this Christmas, it has feelings too.

Reminder to all that the annual Staff vs Students Basketball Game is taking place in the gym today at lunch. Please come out and show your support for your Dunsmuir basketball team. They will need all they can get as they take on the undefeated teachers.
