ADST and Arts Education at Dunsmuir
At Dunsmuir Middle School, students take part in ADST (Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies) and Arts Education as part of their learning. These programs let students explore hands-on activities like woodworking, computers, cooking, music, and visual arts.
Every school offers different options based on teachers and equipment, but all students get the chance to try new things, be creative, and build practical skills.
Our goal is to help students discover what they enjoy, so they can make good choices about courses in high school. Classes are taught by both regular and specialist teachers, giving students a well-rounded and fun learning experience.
Academy Classes at Dunsmuir Middle School
Dunsmuir Middle School offers Academy programs that let students explore their passions and build skills in a focused, fun, and supportive way. These classes take the place of regular P.E. and are part of the school day.
We currently offer two Academies:
- Dance Academy
- Soccer Academy
Each program is led by experienced instructors and helps students improve their abilities, stay active, and grow in confidence. Whether students love to move to music or play on the field, our Academies give them a chance to do what they enjoy—while learning and growing with others who share the same interests.
