Dance Academy/Hip Hop Reminders

ROYAL BAY SHOW TONIGHT – Dance Academy 7 & 8 meet Miss A at Royal Bay at 7:00pm (IN COSTUME!) – DO NOT BE LATE!

7’s: “Straight Up” – bodysuit/skirt/pants, tap shoes (low pony)

8’s: “Spirit” – black/gold dress, bare feet/foot undeez, low pony

Student Choreo. PHOTO SHOOT: The Student Choreo Photo Shoot (for dances in recital) is TODAY at lunch in the studio. Come with hair/make-up DONE and with your group pose ready.

HIP HOP CREWS: This Friday is your last class after school with Dyllon – all costumes/shoes should be taken home now and ready to bring to the theatre on Monday night (Dress Rehearsal). If you are in DMSIZ, your costumes should still be in the studio as you are performing this Friday morning!

Dance Academy 6/7/8 & DMSIZ: Performance this Friday Morning at DMS! Meet Miss A in the dance studio (hair/make-up done!) at 8:40am.

Please see below for start-up information and the specific times your child will attend for the first week next school year.

The Bus Schedule will be as follows:

September 3 – buses will run in the morning (pick-up) and at 11:31 for Grade 6 students who ride the bus.

September 4 – buses will run in the morning (pick-up) and after school (drop-off)

**on September 4, Grade 7 students who ride the bus will need a way home at 11:31 and Grade 8 students who ride the bus will need a way to school at 12:06.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we work towards getting each student oriented to the new school year in the most organized and calm manner possible.

Week 1

Tuesday- September 3– 8:45-11:31 Grade 6 students ONLY– will meet in the gym where they can check the class lists (alpha lists will be posted), meet their teacher in the line (in the gym) and be guided to their classroom to begin the Welcome and Orientation for the school year.

Wednesday- September 4- 8:45-11:31- Grade 7 Students ONLY – students will arrive at the school and check the posted class lists for their name. Once they know whose class they are in and the room # they are in, they will make their way to that location. Staff will be in the hallways to assist students and direct them to their classrooms. **please note, students will be dismissed at 11:31 am and will need a way home at this time as there are no buses.

Wednesday- September 4- 12:06-2:41 – Grade 8 Students ONLY– students will arrive at the school and check the posted class lists for their name. Once they know whose class they are in and the room #, they will make their way to that location. Staff will be in the hallways to assist students and direct them to their classroom.

Thursday- September 5- 8:45-2:41 -whole school in attendance– Regular schedule

Friday- September 6– Planning for a Whole School BBQ. Students should bring water and clothing suitable for being outside for the afternoon. Sunscreen recommended.
