|Mr. Mark Kaercher, Principal
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. I am excited and honored to begin my role as principal of Dunsmuir Middle School. Thus far in my career, I have been afforded the opportunity to work and learn in Elementary Schools, Middle Schools and Secondary Schools, including Alternative Education. I am truly excited to make my way back to the “middle” and become a part of the Dunsmuir Middle School team. I look forward to working with the staff and students of Dunsmuir Middle School in continuing to support, celebrate and practice its core values of: Honesty, Kindness and Respect. I look forward to meeting, learning from and working with the students, staff, parents, families and community of Dunsmuir Middle School. I encourage families to continue to be involved and engaged in their child’s education from Kindergarten through to Grade 12 (and beyond). To this end, please feel free to contact me or set up a meeting should you have any questions, concerns or ideas. I am looking forward to a fantastic year. Thank you.Mark KaercherExt. 225 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Ms. Pam Gerrits, Vice-Principal
Welcome to Dunsmuir! This is my third year at Dunsmuir as Vice-Principal and I look forward to working in our seismically-upgraded facility!
I join Dunsmuir after two years at École John Stubbs as a Vice-Principal and ten years as a music teacher in SD61 and St. Michaels University School. I have a passion for music and have organized the Capital City Jazz Festival for 10 years, which will be held right here at Dunsmuir in May 2017!
As a Vice-Principal, I am passionate about school culture and helping students ‘get involved.’ I am excited to work with the staff, students, and incredible community around Dunsmuir.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, thoughts, or just to say hello!

Mr. Glenn Bedard, Vice-Principal
Welcome to the 2018-19 school year. I have heard great things about Dunsmuir and I look forward to working with your children and joining this family of educators.
For the past five years, I have been part of the Journey Middle School team. Before I became a Vice Principal, I was teaching grade 8 at Lansdowne Middle School for almost 10 years and a Woodshop teacher at Glanford Middle School.
I am a firm believer in experiencing all that middle school has to offer. Make the most of your three years at Dunsmuir: try something new, make new friends, connect with an adult.
