FINAL 6 WEEKS
Time flies when you are having fun. Over the remainder of the school there are a lot of different things going on. Please note the dates below. Examples include the Year End BBQ, Grade 8 Leaving, Grade 8 photos, musical and dance performances, paddle boarding, new student orientations, various celebrations, and countless class field trips. Please pay close attention as information and or permission forms are being sent home. We are looking forward to an exciting end to the school year.

ATHLETICS
As the year winds down, so does our athletics program. We congratulate all of our students who have participated the various and diverse sports programs and represented Dunsmuir Middle School so well throughout the course of the year. Many were trying sports for the first time. Thank you to all of the coaches who volunteer their time to offer these opportunities.

JAZZ BAND & CHOIR – MAY 15TH, 6:00PM-7:15PM
You’re invited to “Approximately 45 Mins of Jazz Featuring the Jazzy Guyz, Galz, and Non-Binary Palz of Jazz Band and Choir” tonight at 6:00pm in the open area. Admission is free! Hope to see you there.

GRADE 6 AND 7 IMMUNIZATION AND MEASLES BOOSTER – MAY 23rd
Thursday May 23 Grade 6 and 7 Immunization and Measles Booster form 9:00am – 12:00pm in the Multipurpose room

PADDLE BOARDING- MAY 23rd & 31st
The 3:30pm session is full and there are 7 spots available in the 4:30pm session.  This will take place at Thetis Lake. If you are signed up, please meet at the Dog Beach (just past the main beach) in time for your session. It is a good idea to be a few minutes early. A reminder that parents/guardians need to remain on the beach to drop their child off and collect them at the conclusion of the session. If you your child is not signed up and would like to be, please contact Mr. Kaercher at mkaercher@sd62.bc.ca.

DISNEYLAND 2020 $50.00 OFF IF YOU BOOK BY THE END OF MAY!
EF Tours has designed a custom tour for Dunsmuir school to visit Los Angeles/Disneyland next March. We ask that you try to enroll by May 24th to ensure we have enough attendees to run the trip – go to www.eftours/enrol to register. Our tour number is 2223856BE. Reminder that parents and students are welcome to sign up for the trip! Parents enrolling will not have chaperoning responsibilities – we will bring SD62 chaperones along.
If you were unable to attend the meeting and would like more information – voila!

YEARBOOKS – DEADLINE MAY 31st
Payment will be accepted online only.  Do not send cash or cheques to the office please.  We have less than 40 yearbooks remaining to be sold. We will close the online purchase once all have been sold.

GRADE 8 LEAVING – DEADLINE MAY 31ST
Grade 8 Parents, we are now officially in the month of May, and Grade 8 leaving fees are due on May 31st. These fees are to be paid online. Late submissions will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Baas (sbaas@sd62.bc.ca).
