The Westshore Arts Gallery is holding their annual art contest-and there is $50 cash prizes!

You may enter any drawing, painting, dance, sculpture, animation, monologue, or another creative work.

My Voice Matters

Students and staff! Check out the new bulletin board display outside room 102. It has some great uplifting affirmations created for you by the Student Wellness Advocacy Group (SWAG)

The display also includes slips that you can take, write a question about mental wellness or mental health on- and drop the slip in the green box marked “SWAG”in the counselling suite. Questions will be answered on the announcements the following week.

Have you seen or heard something that concerns you?

The erase|Report It tool lets you send a secure, anonymous and confidential message to your school or school district’s safe school coordinator, who will follow up on it right away. You do not have to provide your name unless you want to.

Messages are only monitored during your school’s operational hours. If this is an emergency please call 911 immediately.

Please see below for start-up information and the specific times your child will attend for the first week next school year.

The Bus Schedule will be as follows:

September 3 – buses will run in the morning (pick-up) and at 11:31 for Grade 6 students who ride the bus.

September 4 – buses will run in the morning (pick-up) and after school (drop-off)

**on September 4, Grade 7 students who ride the bus will need a way home at 11:31 and Grade 8 students who ride the bus will need a way to school at 12:06.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we work towards getting each student oriented to the new school year in the most organized and calm manner possible.

Week 1

Tuesday- September 3– 8:45-11:31 Grade 6 students ONLY– will meet in the gym where they can check the class lists (alpha lists will be posted), meet their teacher in the line (in the gym) and be guided to their classroom to begin the Welcome and Orientation for the school year.

Wednesday- September 4- 8:45-11:31- Grade 7 Students ONLY – students will arrive at the school and check the posted class lists for their name. Once they know whose class they are in and the room # they are in, they will make their way to that location. Staff will be in the hallways to assist students and direct them to their classrooms. **please note, students will be dismissed at 11:31 am and will need a way home at this time as there are no buses.

Wednesday- September 4- 12:06-2:41 – Grade 8 Students ONLY– students will arrive at the school and check the posted class lists for their name. Once they know whose class they are in and the room #, they will make their way to that location. Staff will be in the hallways to assist students and direct them to their classroom.

Thursday- September 5- 8:45-2:41 -whole school in attendance– Regular schedule

Friday- September 6– Planning for a Whole School BBQ. Students should bring water and clothing suitable for being outside for the afternoon. Sunscreen recommended.
